Like so many organisations around the country right now, the Hideaway is facing mounting financial pressure. As we enter what should have been our busiest season ever, in all likelihood our doors will remain closed to the families who love to explore our unique educational play centre for months to come.

Being closed is tough for any business, but we’re not actually a business. The families who enjoy our centre and cafe not only benefit themselves, but they help to fund free training, support groups, education, employment and personal support as well as The Hope Centre.

The Hope Centre ensures that hundreds of local residents have food in their cupboards, credit on their energy meters and someone to call when the loo roll runs out and the purse is empty. We’ll shortly be opening a small community pantry to ensure that support continues long after the pandemic subsides and we begin to deal with the aftermath.

We’ve been fortunate over the last 9 months to have received many short term grants and donations which have sustained us and allowed us to be generous, giving to all who have asked. Now we need you - our friends and supporters to help us navigate these next 12 months. We’re looking to raise an extra £5000 per month to help us through this storm, and increase our community and family support.
