Fundraising Heroes

Since the Hope Centre community support hub was launched in March 2020 and the Hideaway was forced to close temporarily, we have been heavily reliant upon incredible individuals and businesses to provide food, funds, people and everything else that's required to support a community through a pandemic.

Thanks to some incredible people we've been able to continue supporting people continually since March 2020, and will continue to do so through the pandemic and as we move into the recovery phase.

On this page we will highlight a few of the fabulous people who have successfully raised funds for the Hope Centre, and provide opportunity for you to support those who are in the process of doing so.

Colin

Coast to Coast walk

In June Colin is planning to walk from St Bees to Robin Hoods Bay in 13 days, that's 192 miles! Colin hopes to raise £3000 to pay children's lunches through the holidays.

Jonathan hit his target of £1000 by cooking vegan meals and delivering them to friends.

Reception class

The reception children at St Michael's raised a whopping £1655 doing a tag team sponsored bike ride!

Hideaway team

Hayley has raised almost £250 so far making brilliant face masks for her friends.

Judah raised £185 running 100km in 3 weeks during lockdown 3.0. Incredible!

Sarah May raised £325 in a single night doing a take out fundraiser for her friends!

Home half marathon

Local teaching assistant Matt used his garden to run a home half marathon and doubled his target raising well over £800 for the Hope Centre. Amazing Matt!
